Summer is officially here 6-20-08

Summer is officially here and now the fun begins. I mean work begins. I don't know about you, but by now, I've developed a long list of chores and work items that need to be completed by the end of summer 2008. Sure it starts innocently enough. Roof a building, build some stairs, plant a garden, cut some firewood. But invariably, I over commit and then I'm left scrambling through summer trying to get things done. And, oh by the way, the days are getting shorter from here on out.

Prices keep going up

I don't know about you, but it seems like the price of goods are following the price of gas... they're going up. We saw inflation in the late 1970's and it is ugly. There are no winners. Instead there is a chase of spiraling prices which lead to more... spiraling pricing. Part of the issue is the devaluation of the dollar. It does help make whatever American businesses are left, to be more competitive. But it also raises the prices of our imports. And that includes gasoline. What next? Chinese imports going up? Wait and see.
